10 STEPS TO REBALANCE YOUR MIND, BODY AND SOUL

Many of us get lost in the motion of everyday and are always on-the-go putting our bodies in a state of “fight or flight”. So I decided to write out some actionable steps to soothe your nervous system and rebalance the mind, body and soul and fuel yourself with positivity and love!

Try incorporating these daily habits into your life:

  1. Drink a big glass of water with fresh lemon juice first thing in the morning.

  2. Journal: release your feelings/thoughts on paper instead of allowing them to be trapped in your body. When you hold onto anger, anxiety, you allow these negative beliefs to settle into your cells causing dis-ease. Let your feelings out!

  3. Eat small, frequent meals that include all macronutrients: carbs, protein, fats. Make sure these sources are healthy and nutritious. Avoid refined sugars, overly processed foods, or too much grease!

  4. Avoid eating past 8 pm so your body can fast 12-14 hours overnight, allowing rest and repair of its systems.

  5. Get fresh air and walk daily: start with 5k a day and progressively increase your step count to 10k a day.

  6. Exercise to a sweat at least 3-4 times each week for a minimum of 20 min each time. Don’t like exercise? Dance it out! Just move that energy out of your body.

  7. Use natural soap and cosmetic products on skin and hair to avoid all those nasties (endocrine disruptors).

  8. Drink at least 8 glasses of water, between meals, daily. Hydration is so important!!!

  9. Clear the mind of clutter with at least 10 min of quiet stillness each day. Not sure how to meditate? Go on youtube to find some guided meditations or check out Shaman Durek for his free 15 minute guided meditation.

  10. Body work: self-massage, to move your lymph and release toxins.

Please don’t feel overwhelmed by these daily practices! Stepping into your new lifestyle is a process. Add in 1 of these habits every week and see how your life shifts for the better!
